Fountain Fun

A week and a half ago we went to this fountain park to play and the girls finally played in the water! We had been 3 other times in the last year and they wouldn't even get close to the water. You can see that Emma still has issues with the water. She screams (still) when she gets bathwater in her eyes. Lee me rephrase- she screams when she gets a 'drop' of bathwater in her eyes. I am proud that she was able to have fun in the water. Maybe the difference is I brought a bucket and cups to play with this time.

Wild Chicken Arianna

I am not sure what has been happening the last week, but I have been not blogging- I have missed you all! I am not a t.v. watcher, but I tell you I love to read blogs I follow!
Arianna keeps up hoping- I tell you. She is the funniest girl. Lately she has been saying and doing so many things that make us laugh- I have been writing them down so I can remember them and share them.

So, last Monday we were starting Family Home Evening. I asked Arianna to come over so we could get started. Her response: I'm busy, Mom. I can't come right now. Here is what she was doing:

As I post this I realize she had also somehow lost her pants, so you get to see her in all her no-pants glory. She was seriously lounging in the chair reading the book and was 'unable' to come. Funny girl.

Another day, we were sitting at dinner and Arianna cried out, "Mom, I hurt my leg!". I went over to look at it and it was spaghetti sauce from her dinner. I told her that and she said, "Oh."

A couple nights later at dinner, Emma was giving me a hard time eating her vegetables (which isn't like her) and Arianna said emphatically, "You HAVE to eat your vegetables, Emma, you HAVE to!!" She is so funny.

Arianna is 2 and 2 year olds love to repeat everything they hear. Arianna said to Emma last week, "Come here, sweetheart!" It was so cute to hear that coming from such a little girl.

Last Sunday, during Sacrament meeting, Arianna wanting to participate in the singing of the Sacrament Hymn and pulled out the Hymnal, opened it up and started singing, "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family. . ." I promise, I tried not to let it happen. . .I really did. . .they found Barney on their own at the library. . .and they love him. The also found the Wiggles. Lovely.

Last bit to share today: Kenneth likes to give the girls bear hugs. One day after a bear hug, Arianna said, "Want a bear kiss, too!" They also love to get Elephant hugs from Dad. He lifts them up and swings them out in front of himself kind of like an elephant trunk. They giggle with delight.

I am so thankful for my little munchkins. Arianna is such a wild little chicken. She can surely make you crazy, as 2-year-olds can, but most of the time she is just so stinkin' cute I just want to eat her up!

Funny Grant

So, this is a video of my most favorite thing that Grant currently does. (Besides stick his tongue out this really cute way, but I haven't caught that on camera yet.) I think it is so adorable! He's already 8 months old, by the way, can you believe it!!

Happy Fourth Birthday, Emma!!

Four years ago today my sweet little Emma was born. What a joy she has been in our lives. Before she was born we wanted to be surprised by the sex of the baby. I desperately wanted a little girl, but really was convinced the baby was a boy. The heart rate was always lower (they say boy's heart rates are usually lower) and one of the ultrasound techs kept saying "his" femur or "his" heart and I realized I forgot to remind him we didn't want to know the sex. So, when Kenneth announced at the birth that it was a girl, I was overjoyed! I got my girl!! She was the most beautiful baby. Time has flown by- with so many fond memories in tow. Emma was a sweet baby and has grown up to be a wonderful big sister and such a beautiful, intelligent, sensitive, incredible little girl. We are so glad you are ours!!
